hola summer break!

 With all this new found time i have managed to find a few good records and books at bookman's.  Reading Frida has influenced my sketches but more on that later.  Have a break from it all has been great!, i have a few plans for the summer and trips also but i'll wait to post on that later.  here is a little look into what i have been up to. also i have been playing with the settings on my camera, and wanted to show off our outdoor area.

I just waned to put this picture of my niece with Adrian, he was carrying her around the store it was really really cute, I kept taking pictures of them, im sure people thought I was pretty crazy.

AZ Roller Derby

While walking in downtown, Faith and I saw and announcement for the Arizona State Roller Derby State Championship, and yesterday we attended said championship.  It was pretty awesome, this girls are crazy! and the half time shows were adorable by the Senior Woman's Tap Dancing Troupe. Cant wait to keep skating with Faith and Adrian.

After the derby excitement we ended up in the grill (this happens every time we are close to downtown) and ejoyed some laughs.  Mostly at Josh's expense...He found himself in the middle of a street fight on his way to the grill....a night packed with random events...it was awesome to say the least.

im back

i cant even start from where i left off b/c it was so long ago!!! but the semester is coming to an end....and my summer is about to start.  I had about a week off and it feels like it was only a couple days of rest, trying to catch up with things that were waaaay over due have worn me out!
well here are some photos of what happened over this few months i was absent.

Adrian and I went to AP (Agua Prieta, MX) last weekend to see my bff Cruz Cruz!

Today we have a pin up, its only the halfway point, not the final but we are being graded on it, so that always add a little bit of excitement, here is some of the graphics i have been working on.  A little quick rhino model, later i can post the final, but i think for right now, i better keep all these working drawings out of the blog.

just to give a little background, we have been working for about 3 weeks on this project, it is a 6 wk project and for tomorrow they want to see all the drawings that will be do at the end of the project + models and stuff, this has been a very long and hard week, not only at school, but just life; trying to figure some things out and sorting my life at the same time has been a total juggling act, but im glad it has happened now and i feel new motivation, back in the game! ^_^

and of course the people that surround me are a blessing!! i really couldn't keep trucking along without them :) i have not sketched this week, i think the last time i did was sunday, but thats ok. im really missing it tho...well thats all for now, im going to try to get some sleep and be back tomorrow to try to finish this thingy

I just love etsy! you can find the coolest things on there! im currently dying to get what i just ordered but it will be about 7-10 business days  -_-

anywho, im hoping to get some more work done with new mediums and put them up. Also with the yart sale around the corner, i hope to come up with some creative stuff and new girls.

So i have been very busy with school, but my goal this semester is t make time to keep up with my sketching, so far i have only missed a few days.  So here we have some more girls, i was attempting to improve hands, i LOVE Audrey Kawasaki's work so i started there, i will draw more realistic hands later i think, i would like to incorporate more hands into my drawings...we will see what comes of that....on another note, super excited because we have a yArt sale in the works for next month, hopefully school will allow me to take a weekend off...oh and also i got some chalk pastels, so i started using them more, i gotta say im loving them!i hope to have some for the yArt sale, although im pretty new to them i think they give drawings a different life.
