paint...

so i thought i would post this little drawing done on paint. It was done at work at a moment of boredom haha, actually paint has surprised me, i actually really like doing eyes on pain with the spay can.

Reviews were long!!! i forgot my camera at home, so i was able to catch some images on my phone, but hopefully soon ill get those and post, they are actually pretty funny...Well it has been a long day and its almost over for me !yay! my last class is tomorrow and then finals :) i cant believe second year is almost finished! This year seemed really long, but at the same time it seems that it went by fast, i dont know if that makes sense at all? Anywho the trip is almost here and i couldnt be more excited! except for the part that i have to take malaria pills for about 2.5 months :(

Well its a crazy time, i have been working/slacking through this last part of the semester. I have my final pin up for studio tomorrow and i couldn't be happier, however that doesn't mean I'm not terrified of the crits and how my review will go.
may is almost here!which means I'm almost out of here for a little while :)

thinking architecture

I was reading Thinking Architecture by Peter Zumthor, and i found this very interesting
"The notion that our work is an integral part of what we accomplish takes us to the very limits of our musing about the value of a work of art, a work of Architecture. Are the effort and skill we put into them really inherent parts of the things we make?" I think it is applicable not in only in architecture but in many aspects of life. He mentions that sometimes when he is moved by a work of architecture it is the same as if he was moved by music, literature, or painting. I agree, and this worries me because I feel that my work is always lacking something, therefore my ideas are not expressed to its fullest potential, or at least it is not being communicated that way to others. I have felt this way for a while, but I'm glad Peter Zumthor put it in writing.
There are many things he talks about that are very intriguing, but i don't want to copy his hwole essay here, but I'm definitely more intrigued by his work, not only his building, but his thoughts. Hopefully more on Peter Zumthor later.

let the sunshine!

So...
Today we had a lab for ECS (Environmental Control System) we had to develop a shading device to for the West and South facade. My groups location was Tucson. This lab was a matter of life and death because according to Anaconda if we failed to shade the window we would fail the lab! no way around that! right? so our professor was extremely happy with Antonio's development of the West facade! it was a shocker for all of us (hahaha jk Antonio!)
We had to test it on sketch up according to our location and test two different times. On the South facade we built Anaconda's proposal. well here we go!

it was a great night to paint! (although we had school work) getting ready for the yart sale :)
i will def make this a tradition for me :)

presentation time

For our last project we had a very long day of presentations. Let me just start by saying that at this point we are all deprived of sleep and it is almost harder to stay awake then to present infront of the crits. For this semester our section is the most involved in these kinds of things. Since i take my camera for presentations i thought this time i would use it to log wat goes on behind the crits...
